The Bob Newhart Show:

Bob Newhart is Dr. Robert Hartley, a Chicago psychologist living with his sarcastic schoolteacher wife Emily. Newhart’s character was the straight man having to deal with his wife, patients and fellow office workers. The Bob Newhart Show is listed it as #44 on TV Guide”™s 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time. In 2007,Time magazine placed the show on its unranked list of “100 Best TV Shows of All-TIME”. The Bob Newhart Show ran for 6 seasons with 142 episodes

Bob Newhart is Dick Loudon, an author of do-it-yourself books. He and his wife Joanna move from New York City to a small, unnamed town in rural Vermont to operate the Stratford Inn. Dick later begins hosting a low-rated talk show on the town’s local public television station. The season finale of Newhart was named by TV Guide and TV Land as the most unexpected moment in TV history. The final episode was watched by 29.5 million viewers. Newhart ran for 8 seasons with 184 episodes

The Bob Newhart show had a better theme song

Newhart’s made me want to slit my wrist

Watching both shows I can honestly say that both where insanely boring, to be honest I found Bob Newhart funny twice; once was him in a parody of Braveheart and the other involved Conan O’Brien.

What pisses me off about Bob Newhart is he”™s a super ugly dude but had the hottest wives. Also, On The Bob Newhart Show the receptionist, Carol Kester played by Marcia Wallace annoyed the piss out of me.  I”™m not a fan of Marcia Wallace, her teeth that annoy the fuck out of me.

The only real entertaining thing about “Newhart” was the characters Larry, Darryl and Darryl. Three brothers, who live in a shack the two Darryls never, speak (until the final episode) and the series finale Newhart is struck by golf ball and collapses. The screen goes black then a light is turned on, and viewers see Dr. Bob Hartley in bed, saying, “Honey, you won’t believe the dream I just had.” Emily (Suzanne Pleshette, Hartley’s wife from The Bob Newhart Show), turns on the light and rolls over to speak with him. The bedroom is a recreation from The Bob Newhart Show. (see below)
